Review for Tales of Aradia The Lasy Witch volume 1 By L.A Jones
This book was given to me by the author L.A Jones so I want to say thank you to for giving this to me and I want to apologize for it taking me so long to read it. Now I am kicking myself for not starting it sooner. This book was amazing! Once I started it I didn't want to put it down, it started off with action and finished with action and leaving you wanting more. I love books like that! L.A Jones is such a gifted writer, doesn't give you any boring parts, keeps you entertained with fight scenes and with a little romance going on but not to much.
Anyways, the book starts off with genocide of all the witches of Salem. All but one, a baby and that baby's name was Aradia. Who would have thought that a baby would cause so much trouble? The mother of this baby sent the baby out of time and space to be protected from Sovereign (the person behind the killings all of the witches in Salem. Aradia was found by Ross and Liza who adopted Aradia and accepted her as their own daughter but knew that she was something special. They moved away from Salem but only to come back some years later.
As Aradia grew up she started developing her powers but couldn't figure out what she is. After moving she gets settle into her high school life she soon realizes that not everything is as it seems. This high school is full of hot guys, which isnt bad at all or is it? She then meets Roy a boy in her class then she meets Dex another boy in her class. One night walking in the woods she comes across a big wolf but soon she realizes that is not a wolf its a werewolf! And not just any werewolf but her best friend Roy!! Not knowing what to do she hits him on top of the head with a branch and locks him in a jail cell until he turns back into himself. After he wakes up him self again he starts explaining that mostly everyone in Salem is a hidden. A hidden is a vampire, fairie, werewolf, you name there was one in Salem. Knowing all of this she starts to question what she is and Roy has no idea either. Then murders start to happen not just any murders but ones that look like vampires had done it. They called the murderer "the vampire murderer", Ross (Aradia's father) just so happens to be a ada in Salem who is investigating these murders. Aradia knew it was connected to the hiddens in Salem. When Aradia starts to investigate the murders she becomes a target. Not to mention she is torn on who she wants to be with Roy or Dex, they both would lay down their lives to save and protect her. Which just happens to be the case when Aradia gets into a fight with the murderer.
This book was full of action like I said. There was so much that I loved about this book like how the plot was similar to twilght series which I didnt mind. There is such a big difference between this book and the Twilight series. Anyways, back to the book the challenges that Aradia faces in this book is alot more then any other teenager should face, but you have to remember that she isnt like all the other girl teenagers she is a witch! At the end of this book left me hanging on to the edge of my seat it was so good. It also left me wondering who Aradia would pick Roy or Dex. I am not saying which I am leaving that for you to discover. Trust me when I say this is one book you dont want to miss out on.
I give it 5 out of 5 stars
