My Opinion:
Scott Blackstone was forced to move back to his childhood town after his grandparents die. He thinks it's going to be nothing but boring and will meet no friends. Scott enrolls at high school as a junior, then joins the football team. When he goes into town one day he meets a beautiful keep to yourself girl reading in the local coffee shop. He walks up to her and ask to sit at her table, not knowing who she was or what she was. He finally learns her name, Gwen who is what you would call a loner in their town because of a terrible accident a while back. Scott is amazed by her.
When weird stuff starts happening is when Scott starts to wonder what is going on with Gwen, it's not til then that she starts opening up to him on what she is and her family history. You start to wonder if he will stick by her knowing what she is and what she can do or will he leave her behind?
I loved this book!! Then again I love anything by this author he is truly gifted author. His writing is breath-taking and just amazing!!! He makes you want to be in that book and always leaves you wanting more. I was laughing at the parts that were funny and I was crying at the end (you will find out why if you read the book) and I was on the edge of my seat reading as fast as I can to find out what was going to happen. Trust me read the book and you will know what I am talking about! You won't be disappointed!!
